SALNAM  to Celebrate the Queen's Platinum & Canada Day

The Sierra Leone Nationals Association of Manitoba (SALNAM), the umbrella body that looks after the welfare of Sierra Leoneans in the province of Manitoba, will be celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee commemorating the 70th anniversary of the accession of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to the throne. 

In addition to the celebration of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, the organization will be hosting this year's Canada Day too, which some community members have already tagged "One-pot".

The Platinum Jubilee of Elizabeth II is the international celebration Her Majesty and SALNAM will be having a big celebration on Saturday June 25, 2022 at the Winakwa Community Centre, 980 Winakwa Road, Winnipeg, Canada. 

The event will commence at 6pm till late in the night with a free dinner and dance, plus all you can drink at no cost. Community members and their friends are cordially invited.

This is an opportunity for aggrieved community members to come out and put across their grievances and concerns and find a possible way to move forward as there will be an open mic on the stage. 

The night's entertainment will include Sierra Leone's reggae star "Alaska" and the SALNAM Dancers.

The SALNAM Canada Day celebration will be Friday July 1, 2022 at the Kildonan Park - South Owl/Hawk shelter, Winnipeg, Canada.  There will also be a free BBQ and non-alcoholic drinks will be served to guests.
