Alie Nasralla and Entire Team Sweep SALNAM Elections

Winnipeg, Canada.

Alie Hassan Nasralla aka DJ De Nazer (pictured) has won the SALNAM presidential election on Saturday October 13, 2018, in Winnipeg, Canada with 166 votes while his opponent got 103 votes.

SALNAM  acronym for the Sierra Leone Nationals Association of Manitoba (Canada) Inc - it is the organization responsible for the welfare of all Sierra Leoneans living in Manitoba, Canada.

It was a very tough elections with both camps doing intensive campaigns throughout the weeks presiding the elections day.

Nasralla's team also won all the four positions that were contested for in this elections. Memuna Boh Marah emerged as the winner of the Vice President position; Mohamed Moe Koroma won the Public Relations Officer position and Halimatu Kamara got the highest votes of 167 and  toppled the position of Social Secretary. All from Nasralla's team.

Electoral Commissioner, Alex Kaye Bockarie, announced the results on Saturday night and he clearly confirmed that there were no malpractices and voting/electoral activities were monitored by representatives of both parties.

As we went to press, President-Elect, Alie Hassan Nasralla, has also confirmed with 40 Acres Canada that his opponent in the elections, Simeon Ganda, has contacted and congratulated him and both have agreed to work together for the benefit of the Sierra Leonean community in Manitoba, Canada.

40 Acres Canada has also been informed that the inauguration ceremony will take place pretty soon so as to put the elected members at work right away. The date and venue for the event will be announced shortly.

Nasralla has served in SALNAM as Secretary General up to Vice president.
