Happy Holidays From 40 Acres Canada
From the Sierra Leone presidential elections to our coverage of the latest event in PegCity, Canada, this past year has been very hectic – bringing with it moments of happiness and sadness.
Christmas is a time when we can pause for reflection, as we look back at the year gone by. It is a time when it is surely appropriate to recall the story that lies at the heart of this festive season. That story is of a long and difficult journey, and the birth of a child, in a temporary home in Bethlehem two thousand and eighteen years ago
Let us do not forget that Christmas is a time for giving, and as we reach out to families and friends, I hope we will also open our hearts to those who are lonely and in need, citizens less fortunate than ourselves, the orphans, and millions forbidden the freedom to walk this earth FREE! I know they would welcome your expressions of love and support.
It is been a pretty successful year for us at 40 Acres Canada! As your publisher (Lans Omar - pictured), I look back over the past year with great pride in, and admiration for, everything that you – and our community in general – have accomplished! I can authoritatively say 40 Acres Canada newsletter and website reach over 5,000 readers weekly and it is the only Sierra Leonean news media that exclusively covers grassroots news across Canada.
40 Acres Canada wishes our numerous readers, sponsors, retailers and advertisers in Sierra Leone, North America and in the diaspora a peaceful & merry Christmas as we celebrate this Yuletide season with the company of our friends and family.
We CAN NOT come this far without you! I’m referring to our readers, and more indebted to our sponsors and advertisers – Shaw Cable, Teddy Beyene Real Estate, Imove, Soca Reggae Festival, City of Winnipeg, Marvin’s Small Ones Fashion, Gill Reece & O’Neil Reece, Morlica Movers, Malisha DaQueen, David Mahdi Koroma, Hassan Truck Rental, Atiga Restaurant, WSB Winnipeg Financial Center, Moi Boutique, Mesh Hair Design, Ojibwe Hair Salon & Cosmetics, Auto Gallery, Flair Airlines, Dino’s Grocery Mart, Dong Thai, Smithy’s Barber Shop, Anuna Designs, SALNAM, Sierra Ambassadors of Manitoba (Golden Conclave), Afro Arts Production (London, UK), When In Winnipeg and Winnipeg Sun, etc.

PegCity's own Aaliyah Mansaray is back in action after just finishing her Bachelors of Arts degree with a major in Mass Communication. Ms. Mansaray will be reporting live from Winnipeg, Canada.
Abdul Suhood Komeh is off holidays after the hectic Afro Arts Productions' Awards nite. He will be firing back as soon as possible. I know you guys miss his penmanship.
The boss himself, Mr. Abdul Hassan Fackie, 40 Acres Canada's representative in Freetown, Sierra Leone, is returning back to work after the holidays!
The Golden Child is also on holidays and we will kick off in the first Saturday of 2019!
We thank you all as loyal readers, sponsors, contributors and as family!
