Golden Conclave Cancels Beach Party 2019
By Lans Omar,
Sierra Ambassadors of Manitoba (Golden Conclave) has issued a memo on Wednesday July 3, 2019, cancelling its annual beach party scheduled to take place on Saturday July 27, 2019. The memo indicated an unseen circumstances beyond the organization's grips.
The main reason for the cancellation of the beach party is the death of Dr. Abdulai Deffie which occurred in Ontario on June 25, 2019. He will be buried on Saturday July 20, 2019, and Conclave's beach party is a week after the funeral.
Dr. Deffie was a founding member of SALNAM, and was a supporter of Golden Conclave in which some of his relatives are active members.
The memo reads below:
"We will like to thank the community in supporting our social events and help change the lives of the individuals we support. We are truly grateful for your continued patronage because we wouldn’t have made it thus far without your valued support.
It is with regret that due to circumstances beyond our control, our July 2019 Beach Party is cancelled. It is our desire to keep you satisfied and will continue our annual Beach Party in July 2020. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
Looking forward to your usual support in our upcoming Oldies Night in October.
From the Conclave Secretariat".
As indicated on the memo, the annual Golden Conclave's Oldies Night will take place in October as scheduled.
