The Sierra Leone community in Edmonton, Canada, is shocked over the sudden death of Mrs. Claudia Oldfield (pictured) in the early hours of Wednesday November 10, 2021.

This happened in Edmonton, Canada, where Mrs. Claudia Oldfield had lived for the past years with her family. The deceased Mrs. Oldfield was the wife of veteran journalist Daniel Oldfield.
Mr. Oldfield broke the sad news to the world on his Facebook's "Daniel Oldfield's Corner" page where he shared: "Ladies & gentlemen, children all - it's with great SADNESS that I, Daniel Oldfield of Edmonton, Canada, announces the DEATH of my dear wife Mrs. Claudia Iyamide Oldfield, she passed away today November 10, 2021". 

Within few hours of sharing the news on Facebook, Oldfield's "Daniel Oldfield's Corner" was flooded with messages of condolence from all over the world. One of the posts reads: "thanks for being the best aunty anyone could ever ask for - Claudia Oldfield, rest easy my love till we meet again". This was how nice, lovely and accommodating Mrs. Oldfield was and she'll be missed by many.

Before her demise, 40 Acres Canada had been informed that Mrs. Oldfield was sick and had been receiving treatment at home, but family members weren't expecting the sudden demise of her so soon.

Mrs. Oldfield was a vibrant member of the Sierra Leone community in Edmonton, Canada.
