Canada Sierra Leone Friendship Society Inc. Launches in Winnipeg, Canada
Canada has a long history of assisting groups of people from around the globe. Following the American Revolution in 1776, Canada welcomed freed slaves seeking a better life.
In 1772, black Nova Scotians established Freetown, Sierra Leone. The Canada Sierra Leone Friendship Society was inspired by this first act of friendship, as well as by the friendship that founder Zainab Mansaray (pictured left) from Sierra Leone has with members of the Canadian community.
It is the hope of the society that this spirit of friendship continues to thrive in the course of fulfilling the society's mission.
It is an honor and privilege to take this opportunity to invite you or your organization to join us for the launching of the Canada Sierra Leone Friendship Society (CSLFS) Inc.
This event will take place on November 05, 2016 at The Holiday Inn Winnipeg South, 1330 Pembina Highway, Winnipeg, Manitoba from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
We are excited to share our vision for our organization that includes promoting and implementing our three pillars; building schools, health care infrastructure and agriculture for food security in Sierra Leone under the umbrella of the CSLFS Inc.
