Since the Summer of 2019, the couple had planned their big wedding day as scheduled on June 20, 2020. But due to the government restrictions on the COVID-19 Pandemic, both families of the newly married couple had agreed for the limitation of guests in the wedding. Only family members attended.

Some of the culminating moments in the wedding ceremony of Abdul Kanu and Mariatu Kamara was the sealing of the kiss by the bride and groom as they were pronounced "husband & wife".

Another highlight of the ceremony was seeing Mr. Sheriff Kamara walking his daughter down the isle.

Mr. & Mrs. Kanu would like to thank the Sierra Leone community members support and understanding.
