Kao Denero Drops New Song in Support of Kandeh Yumkella
By Lans Omar,
Sierra Leone's hip hop star Amara Dennis Turay (pictured left) aka Kao Denero has released a brand new hit single in support of presidential candidate Kandeh Yumkella of the Grand National Coalition (GNC).
Titled "Fresh Face" and features Salone diva Del Vaqyo, the song was officially released on November 9, 2017 on Youtube with main lyrics of the song dissing president Ernest Koroma and praising a new face Kandeh Yumkella.
With Denero, as usual with his strong vocal prowess, he raps about Yumkella as the only way out with world experience. Also calling out SLPP "tribalistic."
Del Vaqyo didn't do much on the song; She auto-tuned most of the background vibes.
In "Fresh Face", Denero portrays Yumkella as the man that will bring changes to Sierra Leone, while labeling President Ernest Koroma as the "Pa Nor Woke."
However, it should be recalled that Denero, at the wake of his sold out concert in 2016 at the National Stadium in Freetowm, he was spotted in Sierra Leone's State House flanked at Ernest Koroma's side; Telling the media that: "EBK don woke and there will be no better Sierra Leone without the president."
As 40 Acres went to press, it's still unclear in the air how Denero quickly made this switch from someone who has publicly decleared himself "APC pekin" in the past to "GNC borbor" in the midst of a historic presidential elections.
Interesting. Indeed, interesting.
Weeks before the "Fresh Face" song/video surfaced, Denero was spotted with Kandeh Yumkella in a video where he called him the "Fresh Face Presidential Candidate." He authoritatively summoned all his fans and supporters to follow KKY.
In another development, Steady Bongo, a one time strong supporter of SLPP, has defected to Kandeh Yumkella's camp calling the SLPP ungreatful and wicked political party.
