Canada Sierra Leone Friendship Society Officially Launched

The Canada Sierra Leone Friendship Society was officially launched in Winnipeg, Canada. This event took place on November 05, 2016 at The Holiday Inn Winnipeg South, 1330 Pembina Highway in Winnipeg.
Representatives/dignitaries from the African Communities in the province were present to grace the occasion.
MLA for Fort Garry-Riverview, James Allum, represented the government and he delivered a message from the government. Another dignitary, Wanda Bruenig, gave the welcome and opening remarks on behalf of the Canada Sierra Leone Friendship Society.
Ms. Zainab Mansaray, CEO of the Friendship Society, officially launched the programme with a slide show detailing the aims and objectives of the organization and what they will be doing for Canada and Sierra Leone in the coming years. Ms. Mansaray talked about the relationship and frienship that have existed between the two countries since the days of slavery.
Third Secretary at the Sierra Leone Embassy in the United States of America, Ms. Fatmatta Dao (pictured top) represented Ambassador Bockarie Steven for the launching ceremony. Peter Koroma introduced the secretary and made it clearly that Ms. Doa is responsible for all Canadian affairs at the embassy. She spoke eloquently about Ms. Mansaray's vision and what the organization will do if the CEO accomplishes the dream she has for her organization.
Justin Ondo, CEO of Go2AfricaGo, gave a speech in support of the Canada Sierra Leone Friendship Society. Paul Kambaja, Director of the Congo-Canada Charity Foundation also gave an inspirational talk.
The night ended with a sensational performance by the Young Villagers; Their drumming act was beyond touch.
40 Acres' Lans Omar was the sole pilot in control for the entire evening.
