The weekend vibes are here – The Samura Kamara/Adebayor crisis, the Golden Child’s $10,000.00 SLPP/APC bet still up in the air, prayers for a Sierra Leonean man at the HSC Intensive Care Unit in Winnipeg, KKY in the question of the day, plus lots more. You're about to read another bone-cracking edition of “Behind the Scenes". This column is the radical thoughts of one guy called Lans Omar aka the “Golden Child” - born and raised in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Let's do this: Funny, so funny how a political comedian, Adebayor, will set up protests and demonstrations in Sierra Leone from a remote and an unknown location in Holland. Interestingly, the dude attacks President Bio, First Lady Fatima “Gucci” Bio and other big wigs in the country to a point that President Bio himself took it on stage during the 2023 presidential election campaign by throwing bullets back at Adebayor, lol.  Now, Adebayor is publicly calling out APC’s Samura Kamara to F**King get off the playground. Switching gears: Last week, I put an open $10,000.00 bet on the 2028 Sierra Leone presidential elections that APC will lose that election. Wanna put a bet on that? Bring your money (cash) and let’s go find an elder in the community or simply take our bets to RBC and stash it there till 2028 – dead serious. I summoned you last week to come back here and listen to my summation and how I got to that conclusion.

Straight up, I don’t belong to any stupid political party in Sierra Leone, period. You all know what I stand for – RECOLONISE SIERRA LEONE! Period! Now, coming to my bet and summation, we all know voting in presidential elections in the sub-Sahara regions of Africa is just a formality to fool the masses, period! As a seating president/political party, all you need to win a presidential election in Africa, specifically in West Africa, is a hit-man Electoral Commissioner who religiously answers to you and can take a bullet for the party, game over. Bring your bet, NOW!! Do I hear a cat meow?

Next stop: Calling on all prayer warriors in your respective religions in the Sierra Leone community in Winnipeg, Canada, to pray for a young Sierra Leonean man in Winnipeg, Canada, who’s visiting this country. He was sick within the past two weeks and currently hospitalized at the Health Science Intensive Care Unit for medical illness. The young man has only been in the country for about two months. Please include him in your prayers for a speedy recovery.

Question: Serious question – is Kandeh Yumkella going to be the flag-bearer for SLPP in the 2028 presidential elections? De guy nor serious at all. KKY - poor guy, SMH, such an unserious man, I feel so sorry for him.

Finally: Again, the weekend is here! Long Weekend but not the regular Long Weekend for me – I’ll be shuttling back and forth from the HSC Intensive Care Unit to see and pray for my fam. Prayers, please.
